Fertility Clinic

It can be hard to choose a fertility clinic - there are now so many out compared to when I became an embryologist 25 years ago! They all appear to be offering the best success rates, the most caring approach and it is almost impossible to decipher what is true and what isn't. So how do you choose a fertility clinic that is right for you?

We don't have the perfect answer for you but we can help guide you on key areas which can help inform your choices when selecting a fertility clinic. We are often told by our patients that they wish they have found Fertility Solutions earlier in their fertility journey, that we do things differently and it really is a patient first approach. We take real pride in going the extra mile for our patients and know that it does make a difference.

Firstly, we would suggest that you look for a clinic which investigates and looks after both the man and the woman, or both partners, equally. You want to make sure you don't just feel like another number, another IVF cycle or another semen analysis. It is important that the clinic takes into account both partners' medical history and understands you as a couple, allowing the fertility clinic to tailor any treatment (and often no treatment is needed!) to you.

Secondly, you should make sure that the people involved in the investigation, diagnosis and treatment process are leaders in the field of male and female fertility. There should be a leading embryologist who is expertly trained to assess and diagnose any sperm abnormalities, no matter how subtle. You should also ensure there is a female fertility specialist to assess, diagnose and treat any female fertility problems. The same applies for the male side - a male fertility specialist should diagnose and treat male fertility problems. Given that 50% of fertility problems lie with the man and 50% with the woman it is vital that both partners are assessed equally to give the best possible outcome.

Having access to exceptionally experienced and qualified doctors in both men and women’s fertility, combined with a service that meets the highest standards, gives you the recipe for a successful fertility clinic.
